After earning his CFC and spending two years with Chef Éric Lépine, Antoine Gonnet continued to pursue excellence alongside renowned Michelin-starred chefs: Pierre Orsi, Arnaud Donckele, then Stéphane Buron at Chabichou, where he became Sous-Chef. A finalist in the Taittinger competition, he won 1st prize in France and secured 2nd place at the Trophée des Chefs in Mougins. After a stint in England, he settled in Switzerland at the end of 2018 and took over restaurant le 42 with Amandine, in Champéry. Their talent was quickly recognized: in 2020, the Michelin Guide Switzerland awarded them their first star.
Originally from Loire-Atlantique, Amandine Pivault trained in front-of-house professions, obtaining her CFC and then her Brevet Professionnel. Curious to discover the behind-the-scenes, she spent some time in the kitchen before enriching her experience in several establishments in her region. Her love for travel then led her to Val Thorens, to the Hotel Koh-I Nor, then to Corsica, before joining the prestigious Chabichou in Courchevel. It was in Champéry that she settled down and decided to take over restaurant Le 42 with Antoine. Together, they combine passion, rigor, and a sense of hospitality to make it an exceptional dining destination.
